چکیده

ABSTRACT Anisotropic pseudo-acoustic forward modeling and migration imaging are critical for high-precision seismic exploration. However, the wavefields simulated by traditional coupled anisotropic acoustic wave equation have problems of shear noise numerical simulation instability epsilon that is less than delta. Furthermore, although pure expressed differential operators can solve aforementioned interference issues, its calculation large, particularly in 3D industrial applications, because it has to be solved spectral-based method. In this paper, a vertical transverse isotropic (VTI) medium numerically computed using efficient finite difference method derived. This not only eliminates instabilities, but also allows an wavefield simulation. We implement reverse time (RTM) proposed VTI equation. Two synthetic tests one field data test performed evaluate accuracy robustness developed RTM. The results show RTM correct anisotropy effect on propagation improve precision.

On anelliptic approximations for qP velocities in VTI media

A unified approach to approximating phase and group velocities of qP seismic waves in a transversely isotropic medium with vertical axis of symmetry (VTI) is developed. While the exact phase-velocity expressions involve four independent parameters to characterize the elastic medium, the proposed approximate expressions use only three parameters. This makes them more convenient for use in surfac...

Elastic wave mode separation for tilted transverse isotropic media

Seismic waves propagate through the earth as a superposition of different wave modes. Seismic imaging in areas characterized by complex geology requires techniques based on accurate reconstruction of the seismic wavefields. A crucial component of the methods in this category, collectively known as wave-equation migration, is the imaging condition that extracts information about the discontinuit...

Elastic wave-mode separation for VTI media

Elastic wave propagation in anisotropic media is well represented by elastic wave equations. Modeling based on elastic wave equations characterizes both kinematics and dynamics correctly. However, because P and S modes are both propagated using elastic wave equations, there is a need to separate P and S modes to obtain clean elastic images. The separation of wave modes to P and S from isotropic...

Isotropic angle - domain elastic reverse - time migration

Multicomponent data are not usually processed with specifically designed procedures, but with procedures analogous to the ones used for single-component data. In isotropic media, the vertical and horizontal components of the data are commonly taken as proxies for the Pand S-wave modes which are imaged independently with acoustic wave equations. This procedure works only if the vertical and hori...
